Web 2.What? takes a community approach to understanding new and emerging tools and strategies for public relations and marketing application. As much as I’d love to sit here and tell you this and that, social media, is after all, about community and conversations, which is what I hope to bring to this blog through your insights and comments.

What, now you want to know about me personally??

OK here goes: I grew up in a rather technologically advanced house (no, I’m not talking robots, just good old computers, though robots would have been pretty rad.) Daughter of programmers/IT consultants, we had a multiple computer network before every home even had a computer, we had high speed internet while people we’re still catching on to dial up. I even remember the days my mom would let me connect to CompuServe for about 15 minutes a week to chat online with other people! WOW!

Fast forward 15 years later. Despite my flair for style and social personality, I’m secretly a geek at heart. As a teenager, I resisted, making my life goal to never work in front of a computer. However, my keen skills followed–no, plagued–me until I finally gave in to the geeky dark side. Fortunately, what I discovered was social media, which happens to be a perfect match for my geeky inside and social butterfly outside. And because of my background I get it.

So here is where I take everything I learn, explore and already know about social media and display it for the world, hoping you’ll pitch in and help too.
